Coming to HL in August we have a new venture from HL residents Aaron and Rachael - HOLBOROUGH BAKES

Aaron and Rachael Roffe, husband and wife team and HL residents for 10 years, have created a startup business which will be serving their homemade cakes and bakes along with Speciality Award Winning Coffee Roasted in Whitstable, Kent.
Their dream to start the business came from conversations while walking around the development and sitting on the Village Green, wishing for a community spot to gather, catch up, and meet new friends. After discussing with many residents, they believe that a new setup similar to the one provided by the previous vendor, who left a few years ago, would be welcomed.
Following Rachael's diagnosis of breast cancer last August, the pair decided that once her treatment was completed, they would embark on a new endeavour that they were passionate about and could pursue together, thereby forging a new path for their future.
So, after now completing her treatment plan Rachael has the all clear and with some recovery time scheduled we are pleased to announce their launch date in Mid-August.
Based at the Village green, Holborough Bakes from the name to the setup they have created to their ethos, is all about the wonderful community and being immersed within it. They wanted to make the business feel more like a community project so that everyone felt like a part of it.
With their incredible bespoke Coffee trike, their professional modern branding and high-quality offerings, the couple want people to sit and enjoy a coffee, tea, cake in a smart, comfortable space or simply grab something whilst on the go.
COMMUNITY FOCUSSED, HOMEMADE & ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS
Aaron has an extensive background in the prestige sector of the motor industry, combining his experience in providing first-class customer care with his perfectionist nature. His passion for great food and coffee, along with his baking skills, marks an exciting new direction for his role as a baker and barista.
Rachael is a management accountant in the same sector and brings her years of accounting experience along with management skillset but most importantly her warm, friendly nature and love to interact with people & dogs alike.
Holborough Bakes will use recyclable & compostable packaging wherever possible and have kindly offered to do a litter pick around the development after each day of trading.
Holborough Bakes will be open at their village green location for an all day Afternoon Tea charity fundraiser on Saturday 16th August in aid of breast cancer now, a charity close to the couples hearts and to Holborough Bakes - look out for more information on their website and socials!
They launch their residency at Holborough Bakes beginning Sat 23rd August and will be open Weds, Thurs, Fridays and weekends from there onwards so grab those coffees, cakes and bakes for your morning commute all the way through to the post school pick up!
